Darwen Commercial Building Fire

Emergency services are currently dealing with a fire in Darwen.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service rushed to a single commercial building unit Fire on Branch Road in the town around 1am this morning.

In an update on their website, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said,

“On 16th July 2024 at 01:00, four fire engines from Blackburn and Darwen, along with the aerial ladder platform from Preston, attended an incident on Branch Road, Blackburn.

The fire involved a single-storey commercial building. Firefighters used three jets, three breathing apparatus, and one triple extension ladder to extinguish the fire. The incident is still ongoing.

ROAD CLOSURE


Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service are currently at scene of a fire at an industrial unit on Branch Road, Lower Darwen.


We have a road closure in place on Branch Road junction of Bolton Road, Cross Street and Sandy Lane.
