Man Charged With Burgling Clayton-Le-Moors Church

A man has been charged in connection with a burglary.

The incident happened on Saturday, 6th June, on Devonshire Drive, Clayton-le-Moors, when an offender committed a burglary against a church.

In a social media update, Hyndburn Police said,

“A male was arrested and charged by the local Hyndburn Policing team  following an investigation into a burglary that occurred at a Church within the Clayton le Moors area.

Officers were called to a report of a burglary that had occurred on Devonshire Drive, Clayton le Moors on Saturday 6th June 2024.

Following enquiries into the incident, members of the local Hyndburn Community have identified Paul DWYER aged 63 from Devonshire Drive, Clayton le Moors who was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

DWYER has been charged with the offence and remanded into custody to appear before Burnley Crown Court in August 2024.
