Detectives investigating offences of violent disorder, actual bodily harm, and an attempted robbery have arrested a 21-year-old suspect.
The incident happened back in April in the friargate area of the city centre and after an appeal launched by Lancashire Police they have now confirmed they have a suspect in custody awaiting questioning.
In a social media update, Lancashire Police said,
“Last month we asked for your help to identify a man following an assault on Friargate, Preston on 21st April.
We have now arrested a 21 year old man from Preston on suspicion of two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, violent disorder and attempted robbery.
