Blackburn Drug Dealer Jailed For Nine Years | CNMR NEWS

A man from Blackburn has been jailed for nine years for supplying large quantities of drugs across the streets of East Lancashire.

Inna social media update, Lancashire Police said,

“A MAN has been jailed for supplying large quantities of cocaine in East Lancashire.

Kamaran Hayat (11/06/1996) was stopped by police in his blue BMW in Blackburn in January last year and the officers found wraps of cocaine on him.

As a result, Operation Gasket then uncovered a catalogue of messages on Hayat’s phone suggesting he was involved in the large-scale supply of cocaine on the ‘Kammy’ line.

Hayat even handed over control of the phone to an associate while he went on holiday to Morocco.

Hayat, of Walsh Street, Blackburn, was convicted of being concerned in the supply of cocaine between the 18th of December 2022 and 12th September 2023.

One estimate of the value of the drugs line was more than £400k.

He was today at Preston Crown Court jailed for nine years.

Det Sgt Stu Peall, of the East Exploitation Team, said: ““We will continue to target those involved in drug supply in our communities and who prey on the vulnerable for their own greed.

“I hope that seeing these results encourages people to continue to report suspicious activity, either directly to the police or anonymously to Crimestoppers.”
