Four Arrests Made After Drugs Found Following Vehicle Stop In Preston

Four men have been taken into custody following the discovery of drugs after a vehicle was stopped in Preston.

The search was carried out on Monday when officers from Preston Task Force stopped a van in the city and, following a search, discovered a quantity of cannabis. The occupants of the vehicle were arrested, a search was executed at a property shortly after where officers discovered more drugs and cash, a further arrest was made at the property.

In a social media update, Preston Police said,

“We have four men in custody on suspicion of drugs offences following a proactive vehicle stop in Preston.

Officers from Preston Task Force stopped a van on Muncaster Road yesterday, (Monday 1st July, 2024) and found several thousand pounds in cash. Three men were arrested at the scene.

A further search of nearby addresses found several kilograms of vacuum packed cannabis hidden in a loft, two established cannabis grows and, thanks to PD Buddy, around £20,000 hidden under a bath in one of the properties. A fourth man was arrested at one of the properties.

The men, aged 22, 28, 28 and 36 are currently in custody being questioned on suspicion of cannabis cultivation and money laundering.
