Police have launched an investigation after a baby sadly died at a property in Middleton yesterday afternoon, Sunday 30th June.
Emergency services rushed to a property on Bonscale Crescent shortly after 2pm to reports a baby had stopped breathing.
Northwest Ambulance service attended alongside the Air Ambulance and Greater Manchester Police and despite the best efforts of emergency services, a one-year-old child was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for the force said,
“At around 2.05pm on Sunday, 30 June 2024, officers were called to reports of a baby not breathing at an address on Bonscale Crescent in Middleton.
Sadly, a one-year-old child was pronounced deceased at the scene despite the best efforts of the emergency services. An investigation is ongoing.”
