A man from St Helens has been charged with some serious offences over the weekend in relation to an investigation launched by Merseyside Police.
In an update posted online, Merseyside Police said,
“We can confirm that a St Helens man has been charged with sexual and other offences as part of an ongoing investigation.
Patrick O’Donnell, 22, was arrested on Friday 28 June. He has now been charged with:
Rape; Assault occasioning actual bodily harm; Sexual assault; Assault by beating; and Threaten to share photograph or film of person in intimate state.
O’Donnell appeared at court on Saturday 29 June and was remanded in custody to appear today, Monday 1 July.
