Police in Lancashire have been out on foot patrol as part of Operation Centurion, a force wide aim at tackling anti-social behaviour that blight our communities across the county.
Whilst patrolling Accrington Town Centre, officers received intelligence that a male could be in possession of a knife, so quickly located the suspect and, after carrying out a search, found a knife.
In a social media update, Hyndburn Police said,
“Tonight Officers have been out and about on foot patrol as part of OP CENTURION in Accrington Town centre.
A male was detained following information being received he may be in possession of a weapon. As a result of a search, the male was found in possession of a knife and was promptly arrested and is currently in custody.
