Two men have been charged following a disturbance in Chorley last month.

In a social media update, Lancashire Police said,

We have charged two men following an assault in Chorley.

Our officers were called to an address to Geoffrey Street, Chorley, on 30th May to a report of a disturbance.

As part of our enquiries, we last week appealed for help to find Wayne Baines, 32, and Jack Williams, 28, who we wanted to speak to in connection with the assault.

Both men were arrested on Sunday.

Following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, Baines, and Williams, both of no fixed address, have been charged with section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

Baines has further been charged with doing acts with intent to pervert the course of justice.

Both men were remanded to appear before Preston Magistrates Court today.
