A family friend of missing teen Jay Slater has begged for people to stop ringing Jay’s mother in a social media post.

Jay Slater, 19, from Oswaldtwistle in Lancashire has gone missing whilst on holiday in Tenerife after attending the NRG music festival at the weekend.

On Sunday evening Jay left with some new friends he had met at the festival and hasn’t been seen since his last call on Monday morning in the area of ‘Rural de Teno’ park, close to the PR-TF51 hiking trail above the small village of Masca.

A major search began on Tuesday, which included specialist search dogs, drones, and mountain rescue teams.

Jay’s family flew over to tenerife to join the search.

Jay’s distraught mum, Debbie, fears her son has been taken against his will and pleads to the nation in an emotional interview for the return of her baby boy.

The search enters its fourth day, and there is still no sign of Jay.

In a social media post, Rach Louise Harg said,

“Why are people still messaging Jays mum.

What is wrong with people? Anything you have, which is of value, then please add it to the group or call the Spanish police she doesn’t need this it’s been asked, and it stops!

There still isn’t any update for Jay! We are all doing what we can, and we won’t stop till he’s found 💙

It comes after reports state that Jay’s Mother Debbie has received phone calls on her private mobile phone and text messages asking questions about Jay’s disappearance by random members of the public that are causing added stress to an already dreadful situation, including sick snapchat messages saying ‘kiss your boy goodnight’.

Rach Louise Harg who has joined the family in Tenerife has pleaded for people to stop doing this.
