A man has been arrested as part of an investigation into a sexual assault that took place in Lancaster last week.
In a social media update, Lancaster Area Police said,
“Earlier this week we asked for your help to identify a man we wanted to speak to in connection with our investigation into a sexual assault in Lancaster.
It was reported that a woman in her 20s was sexually assaulted on Middle Street, Lancaster on 13th June at around 2:05am.
We have now arrested a 24 year old man from Lancaster on suspicion of sexual assault. He is currently in custody.
We’re still appealing for information and witnesses. Anyone that can help is asked to phone 101 quoting log 0099 of June 13.
