The hunt for a teenager missing in Tenerife continues this evening on the Spanish Island, where his last known location was reported.
Jay Slater, 19, an apprentice brick layer from Oswaldtwistle in Lancashire, has not been seen since he attended a house party miles away from a music event he was attending with friends over the weekend.
Jay was attending the NRG music festival, the first time going abroad alone with friends in Las Americas, which was a three day event before meeting some new friends and going off in a rental car on Sunday evening.

His friend recieved a call around 08:50am on Monday morning to say that he was on his way back but had missed his bus and was showing an eleven hour walk back to his holiday apartment on his maps, he had no water and only one per cent left on his phone battery in the middle of nowhere. His last known location was in ‘Rural de Teno’ park, close to the PR-TF51 hiking trail above the small village of Masca.

His frantic mum flew out to the island, landing this afternoon, along with other family members, to join the search for her son.
The local authorities have been out searching the area with specialist search dogs and drones along with mountain rescue teams.

The Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office said, “We are supporting the family of a British man who has been reported missing in Spain and are in contact with the local authorities.’
A Civil Guard spokeswoman in Tenerife said they were doing “everything possible” to find Mr Slater, including the deployment of a specialist mountain rescue team and a police helicopter “focusing on the area around the village of Masca”.
Other emergency services, including firefighters, were also involved in the search.
Since Jay’s disappearance, social media appeals have been shared thousands of times all across the world in a bid to help try and find him.
A facebook group was set up under the name Jay Slater Missing – Only Official Group has amassed over 90 thousand followers, but Shockingly, some people have decided to share false information online about Jay being found.
Family members have confirmed this to be untrue. A Gofund Me page was also set up to help cover the costs of travel expenses and the search for Jay.

His family has confirmed this not to be legitimate and advised people not to donate any money to the account, Jay’s Mother Debbie has also been receiving calls from sick individuals pretending to know where her son is.
