Three People Charged Following Disturbance In Salford Street

Three people have been charged after a man was seriously injured in a disturbance on a salford street over the weekend.

In a social media update, Greater Manchester Police said,

“We have charged three men and a woman following an investigation into disturbance on Adelphi Street on Saturday 8 June 2024.

Officers attended and a knife was seized by police.

A 20-year-old man suffered serious injuries, although thankfully these are not life-threatening or life-changing.

Marley Brown (4/12/2004) of Selig Parade, Sheffield, Rio Vernardakis, (1/07/2004) of Nancy Street, Manchester, Safia Swallow, (17/06/1999) of Mere Fold, Salford and McKenzie Purtill (7/06/2006) of Littler Avenue, Manchester were all charged with violent disorder.

They have all been remanded in custody ahead of an appearance at Manchester Magistrates Court today for their first court appearance.
