A man has been charged in connection with a serious assault whereby a man was pushed down a set of stairs in Altrincham over the weekend.
In a social media update, Greater Manchester Police said,
“Niall Peak (09/08/1991) of No Fixed Abode has been charged with Section 18 assault.
He has been remanded into custody ahead of a scheduled appearance at Minshull Street Crown Court on Monday 15 July 2024.
This charge relates to an incident which occurred on the Causeway in Altrincham on Saturday 8 June 2024 at around 2.10am, which saw a 52-year-old man pushed down a flight of stairs and left with life-changing injuries.
The victim remains in hospital.
