Blackburn Man Given Community Order For Sexually Assaulting Woman

A man from Blackburn has been given a community sentence and ordered to sign the sex offenders register for 10 years after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting a woman.

Andrew Chapman, of Blackburn, appeared at Preston Crown Court on 30th May 2024. He pleaded guilty to the offence and was sentenced as follows.

Chapman received 36 weeks imprisonment suspended for 20 months, 30 days rehabilitation activity requirement, and a 20-week curfew between 9am and 6 am monitored by an electronic tag.

He was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register for 10 years.

We have approached Lancashire Constabulary and requested a mugshot of the defendant.
