Two Men And Woman Set To Appear Before Magistrates Tomorrow Charged In Connection With Bolton Murder

Three people will appear before Magistrates court tomorrow morning charged in connection with the murder of a man in Bolton.

In a social media update, Greater Manchester Police said,

“This morning (9/6/24), two men and one woman were charged by police in connection with the murder of a 35-year-old man in Bolton.

Paul Simmons (DOB: 5/2/76) of Bradford Street, Bolton is charged with murder.

Jordan Downes (DOB: 21/8/92) of no fixed abode is charged with assisting an offender.

Kelly Hughes (DOB. 23/09/86) of no fixed abode is charged with obstruct police

All have been remanded into custody and will appear at Bolton Magistrates court tomorrow (10 June).

Another 40-year-old man also arrested has been released on bail whilst enquiries continue.

The charges relate to an incident on Friday 7 June 2024, when police were called at around 7:15pm to reports that a man had been stabbed on Bradford Street in Bolton. He was taken to hospital but tragically passed away as a result of his injuries.

Detectives appeal to anyone with information to call 101 quoting 3001 of 7/6/24.
