Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service have had a busy last few days, attending seven separate fires across the fylde coast, including a major fire at the former DWP building in Warbreck Hill.
Here is what the firefighters have been upto.
Domestic Fire
On Wednesday 5th June, firefighters attended a domestic fire at a property on Smithy Mews, At 16:30 hours four fire engines and an aerial ladder platform from Blackpool, Bispham, St Annes, and Preston attended a fire involving a conservatory which had spread to the roofs of two adjacent terraced domestic properties on Smithy Mews, Blackpool.
Firefighters extinguished the fire using one hose reel, one jet, and twelve breathing apparatus. Crews were in attendance for approximately three hours and thirty minutes.
Commercial Fire
On Friday 7th June, At 06:26 hours, four fire engines from Blackpool, Bispham, and Fleetwood fire stations attended a commercial property fire on Coronation Road, Thornton-Cleveleys.
Firefighters used two hose reels, five litres of foam, and two breathing apparatuses to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour and thirty minutes.
Commercial Fire
On Friday 7th June, at 23:33 hours, ten fire engines and numerous specialist appliances responded to a fire involving a disused commercial premise on Warbreck Hill Road in Blackpool. Firefighting operations are ongoing. Please avoid the area and keep windows and doors closed if you can smell smoke.
UPDATE 12:07pm on 8 June
This incident has been reduced to six fire engines and an aerial ladder platform as firefighters continue damping the fire down. Road closures are still in place.

Firefighting continues with crews monitoring hotspots and damping down the fire. Road closures are still in please so please avoid the area.
UPDATE 16:30 on 9 June
Firefighters are still at the incident ground and are monitoring hotspots, which are occasionally flaring up due to windy weather conditions. Crews will remain at the scene overnight.
Domestic Fire
On Saturday, 8th June, at 11:24 a.m., four fire engines from Blackpool, Bispham, and St Annes and an aerial ladder platform attended a house fire on Boothley Road in Blackpool.
Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used two hose reels, one jet, and two ventilation units to extinguish the fire. Four people received precautionary checks at the incident by North West Ambulance Service.
Domestic Fire
On Saturday 8th June, At 17:25 hours, five fire engines from Lancashire Fire and Rescue and the aerial ladder platform and support appliance from Blackpool attended a fire on London Street, Fleetwood.
The fire involved a house of multiple occupancy consisting of three floors. Crews used four breathing apparatuses, two hose reels, and one positive pressure ventilation unit to extinguish the fire. Crews were detained for approximately three hours.
Commercial Fire
On Sunday 9th June, At 02:05 hours, two fire engines from Blackpool Fire Station, one fire engine from South Shore, and one fire engine from Bispham attended a commercial building fire on Blackpool Promenade.
One triple extension ladder and two thermal imaging cameras were used to locate the source of the smoke. Crews were detained for approximately ninety minutes.
Domestic Fire
On Sunday 9th June, At 03:31 hours, fire engines from Fleetwood and St Annes attended a fire on Egerton Road in Blackpool.
Two firefighters in breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the fire, and all fire service personnel were in attendance for approximately ninety minutes.
