If you’re looking for a holiday this year and you’re thinking about Egypt, then read this review below.

Cheryl, a Health Care Assistant, said, “We booked our holiday last year after looking online at various recommendations, and this hotel stood out to us.

After booking the resort, we was joined by our nephew James and Rob, added Cheryl,   we joined a Facebook group that was specifically for this hotel and each day that passed we seen mixed reviews about the resort.

Various different reviews had us feeling a little apprehensive about coming, as you can imagine, from rude staff to not so very good food, drinks, and cleanliness. they were coming in thick and fast, but as all the reviews were from anonymous posters, we took the feedback with a pinch of salt and thought we would see for ourself once we arrived.

The group from Preston, Rob, Martin, Cheryl and James were picked up on Friday 31st May by their pre booked taxi from Millers, taken to the train station for their pre booked train, which by the way is more than half the price of paying on the day, they arrived at Manchester Airport on time and off they went to Egypt.

On our arrival, the transfers were very on the ball, the taxi was waiting for us outside the airport, and we were transferred to the hotel within 20 minutes.

When we arrived at the hotel, we checked in, the staff were very friendly and advised us to go into the restaurant and get some food before it closed, once we had finished we went back to reception and was escorted to our rooms along with our luggage by friendly reception staff.

We unpacked and had a little walk around the hotel, we arrived around 10pm and could get food in the restaurant before it closed.

The hotels first impression is it was very clean, staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough to help you.

On day 1, we woke up to the heat around 38°c , and we headed for breakfast, in the restaurant, you can sit inside or outside, a great choice of continental breakfast in a buffet setting, the same followed for lunch and dinner.

The hotel itself has nine pool areas and enough sunbeds for everyone. It has its own private beach and jetty. The sea is nice and blue, and the staff work hard all day to serve you and keep the rooms tidy and the grounds clean.

The hotel isn’t that busy for this time of year, which is a godsend, the rooms are very modern, especially if you have booked a superior room, however the non superior rooms are just as good, they come with a fridge that is refilled daily with bottles of water, and a safe.

The snack bars are open from 12-4pm, you get two door key cards and two towel cards, the staff around the pool are extremely friendly and the cocktails at the many bars that this hotel have to offer are very good and drinkable despite many negative reviews by ‘anonymous posters’ the staff look after you, especially if you tip them.

The only thing we would say is in the hotel there is a group of individuals who will come over and haggle you into massages, photo shoots etc but if you get yourself a red flag from the pool area and place it above your sun lounger you won’t be hassled.

If you go outside of the complex to the shops, bare in mind you will get the store staff hassling you into buying items at reduced price, but if you stand your ground and say no they will leave you alone, also take into account that the shops around the hotel complex are twice as much in price as the shops in the street, and they much prefer payment in dollars, British pounds or euros rather than Egyptian pounds.

The hotel itself is situated in a quiet area and the nearest shops are about a mile away, taxis are available at reception that will take you to the local marina, or Senzo shopping Mall for a very cheap price, pick you up and bring you back once you are done. We wouldn’t recommend using the Uber app for your trips as they are very demanding and change the  price.

We booked various excursions through Trip Advisor, which worked out cheaper than booking at the hotel or with hotel reps. We visited Hula Beach, which was part of a boat trip. The boat trip stopped off, and you had the opportunity to go snorkelling and also ride a banana boat.

The hotel itself has its own disco on the top floor, which is very good.

James who runs his own Professional Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning business added, “The hotel is very good, one of the best I’ve been to in a long time, and I would recommend it to anyone. I will definitely be booking again for next year.” I highly recommend visiting the Hula Hula beach where you can sit and relax with cocktails.

The hotel boasts four A La Carte restaurants, you get one per week as part of your holiday stay for free. Italian, Chinese, Indian and Egyptian Cuisine.

Rob said, “We went to the Italian restaurant, and the food was absolutely beautiful. You get a three course set menu to choose from, I had the Minestrone soup for starter, Tagliatelle for main course and apple pie served with ice cream for dessert, the food was plentiful and full of flavour, the staff are very friendly and wait on you hand and foot, cannot recommend it enough.
