Police in Burnley have been patrolling Anti-Social Behaviour hotspots in the Burnley area and have made arrests as part of their hard work.

In a social media update, Burnley and Padiham Police said,

“Op Centurion is a dedicated Anti-Social Behaviour operation in which areas are identified for high levels of ASB. Currently Padiham has been identified as one of these areas, therefore you will see increased levels of patrols within this area.

Last night (31st May) there was an incident at the junction of Station Road and Park Road, Padiham.

Youths where kicking footballs at people’s addresses, banging on windows and doors and being a general nuisance at approximately 22:00hrs.

Two  youths  were arrested for Public Order Offences and Resist/Obstruct Police Offences.

During the detention of one of the youths a Police Officer was injured.

This behaviour is unacceptable and will not be tolerated within Lancashire and officers will arrest and deal with offences robustly.

Please can parents of youths be aware of the location of their children especially in an evening.

There will be an increase of patrols in the area and any youths causing a nuisance will be dealt with accordingly.
