Police have released a warning in relation to road closures in Lancashire this evening due to flooding.
In a social media post, Burnley and Padiham Police said,
(Updated: 22:00hrs)Good Evening, please be advised that Robin House Lane, Catlow Bridge and Southfield Lane, Southfield is currently closed due to heavy flooding.
Please find an alternative route. Flooding is likely across Lancashire, so for more information on how to be prepared and what to do, please visit

Also in a social media post, Fylde Police said,
(Updated: 22:30hrs) Good Evening, We’re currently dealing with a road closure on Blackpool Road Kirkham due to flooding. Please find an alternative route. Flooding is likely across Lancashire, for more information on how to be prepared and what to do, http://visit https://orlo.uk/MoBg7
These come as an amber warning is issued by the MET Office after rain batters Lancashire, this is expected to continue through the night.
