Police in the Fylde Coast have made arrests in connection to drug supply after a man tried to outrun them after a vehicle was stopped by officers on patrol in St.Annes.
The incident happened over the weekend. In an update from Fylde Rural Task Force, they released the following,
“Over the weekend, Fylde Rural Task Force were out on patrol in St.Annes when they spotted a vehicle with intelligence for drug dealing.
The vehicle was stopped with two males on board. The passenger appeared to be keeping his head down and mumbling when spoken to… at this point, officers have sighted something concealed in his mouth.
The passenger attempted to run but was no match for Fylde Rural Task Force, who swiftly detained him!
Both males and the vehicle were searched. The passenger was found in possession of snap bags of white powder, two mobile phones, and approximately £1000 in cash.
The passenger, aged 30 from St Annes, was arrested for possession with intent to supply class A and money laundering.
In addition to the above, Fylde Rural Task Force executed two separate drug warrants in the St. Annes area within the past week. This is a result of intelligence provided by you. These investigations are still ongoing, and enquiries are being completed.
