A man who was arrested yesterday afternoon, Sunday 19th May as part of a sting undertaken by an online peadophile hunting group in Preston remains in custody.
The video live streamed to Facebook showed police officers attempting to gain access to a flat in the city so that they could speak with the alleged suspect as part of allegations if of engaging in sexual conversations with a child.
The man who can be seen being led away in handcuffs after police finally gained access was chanted at by local residents as he was walked to a nearby undercover police car.
We asked Lancashire Police for comment and today a spokesperson for the force said,
A 59-year-old man from Preston was arrested on Sunday (May 19th) on suspicion of engaging in sexual communication with a child. They are currently in custody and enquiries are ongoing.
