Appeal After Man Sadly Dies In Clayton-Le-Woods Road Traffic Collision

Lancashire Police are appealing for witnesses after a man sadly dies in a collision on Saturday morning.

In a social media appeal, Chorley Police said,

“We are appealing for witnesses and footage after a road traffic collision in Clayton-le-Woods in which a man died.

Our officers were called at 10.48am yesterday (18th May) to the A6 Preston Road to a report of a collision.

They found that a Suzuki Celerio car travelling south on the A6 towards Chorley had been in collision with a garden wall.

No other vehicle was involved.

The driver of the Suzuki, a man in his 70s, was sadly pronounced deceased at hospital.

Our thoughts are very much with his family and loved ones at this distressing time.
