Police officers from Lancashire Constabulary have been out targeting shoplifters operating in the city.
Lancashire Police carried out a plain clothes operation at the Capitol Centre yesterday, Thursday 9th May, which resulted in two arrests.
South Ribble Police said in a social media post, “Yesterday South Ribble Neighbourhood conducted a Shoplifting Operation at the Capitol Centre which resulted in two arrests for Going Equipped and Shoplifting – one of them was charged and remanded for court.
We are working closer with shops to combat the rise in shoplifting .
