Team one from Lancashires road policing unit stopped a vehicle at a service station after its occupants were seen on cctv inhaling nitrous oxide.
The Volswagen Golf was searched and police officers discovered a quantity of bottles containing gas within the car.
Lancashire Police said, “This vehicle was stopped at Forton Services after the young occupants were caught on CCTV inhaling nitrous oxide from balloons!
A search of the vehicle located 23 bottles of the gas which were all seized as was the car itself for driving offences!
Possession of this substance to inhale is a criminal offence under the Misuse of Drugs Act!
