
Police are appealing for witnesses after a crash resulted in a man sadly losing his life.
Police were called to Preston Road in Grimsargh last night Tuesday 30th of April following reports of a road traffic collision, North West Air Ambulance was also in attendance alongside North West Ambulance Service and Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service.
The road in both directions were closed whilst investigations were carried out to establish how the accident occurred.
Lancashire Police said, “We are appealing for witnesses after a man sadly died following a collision.
We were called at shortly after 6.30pm yesterday (Tuesday 30th April) after a Mazda 6 driving north on Preston Road at Grimsargh left the road and collided with a bus shelter and church wall.
Very sadly despite the efforts of emergency services the driver, a man in his 60s, died.
His family have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this time.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash cam footage from the area are asked to contact police.
