Whether the other half is feeling romantic or you just want to relax in a nice hot candle lit bath after a long day at the office, the dangers of using candles have been highlighted by the local fire and rescue service which warn people of the dangers of having candles around the bathtub.
Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service said, “Lighting candles can be beautiful and create a lovely atmosphere in your bathroom, however please remember to never place them on the side of the bath – they present a fire risk and due to the heat, it could cause the bathtubs to melt.
Instead, we recommend using LEDs candles as these lights are heatless and flameless. Therefore creating the same lovely atmosphere in a much safer way.
