A suspected predator from Blackpool has been arrested on suspicion of grooming children online after being apprehended in a live sting by Online Paedophile hunting group C.I.M Midlands.
The sting that took place earlier today (Sunday 28th April) shows footage of the group approaching the suspect at his home address in the resort where its alleged he had been having sexual communications online and arranging to meet with what he thought to be a 15-year-old child. The suspect was arrested on suspicion of having sexual communications with a minor, inciting and facilitating a meet with a minor and sending and requesting indecent images of a minor, he is currently in custody for questioning.
It’s not the first time C.I.M Midlands have been in the resort, it was only last week they live streamed another sting where a 55-year-old man who was employed at a local Academy was arrested outside the Velvet Coaster Pub on Tuesday 23rd April after it was alleged he was sending sexual messages to a child online. The suspect in this case was arrested on suspicion of sexual grooming of a child and was later released on bail pending further investigation by Lancashire Police. The academy also confirmed that he had been suspended from his non-teaching role and had sent an email out to parents to reassure them of this.
