Witness Appeal After Man in His 40’s Knocked Off Bicycle In Blackpool

Police appeal for anyone who may of witnesses the collision to get in touch.

Layton Road was closed whilst investigations were carried out  after the cyclist was left seriously injured, emergency services including an air ambulance were dispatched to the scene yesterday afternoon, (Tuesday 23rd April).

Lancashire Police said, “We’re appealing for information after a cyclist was injured in a collision in Blackpool.

We were called to a report of a collision between a Black Honda Civic and a pedal bike at the junction of Collingwood Avenue and Mather Street in Blackpool, at around 3pm yesterday (April 23).

The cyclist, a man in his 40s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital. Thankfully, his injuries are not thought to be life threatening or changing.

We believe there may be people who witnessed the collision but haven’t yet spoken to us. If this was you, or if you have any information, CCTV or dashcam footage, please contact us on 101 quoting log 0831 of April 23.
