Lancashire Fire & Rescue have advised residents to close windows if they smell smoke after being dispatched to a wildfire this afternoon around Darwen Tower.
Lancashire Fire & Rescue said, “We currently have two fire engines from Bacup and Rawtenstall and two wildfire units in attendance at a wildfire close to Darwen Tower.
We ask people to please avoid the area whilst we deal with this incident. If you can see or smell smoke, please close your windows and doors.
