
A man who was arrested over the weekend in relation to multiple convenience stores being targeted across Preston has been charged.
Lancashire Police said, “We have charged a man with robbery and three offences of attempted robbery in Preston.
Four convenience stores in Miller Road, Isherwood Street, St George’s Road and Plungington Road, were targeted in the space of half an hour last Thursday evening (April 18th).
A 23-year-old man was arrested yesterday (April 21st) in Preston.
Following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, Joshua Tattersall, 23, of Cemetery Road, Preston, was charged with robbery relating to the Plungington Road shop and three offences of attempted robbery relating to the other stores.
He is further charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
Tattersall has been remanded to appear before Preston Magistrates Court tomorrow (April 23rd).
