A 73-year-old man who went missing in Morecambe more than a week ago has been sadly found deceased on the beach in Bolton-Le-Sands.
Lancashire Police said, “We have got some sad news to bring you.
You will remember that we asked for your help to find Edward Procter, 73, who was missing from home in Morecambe.
Very sadly, yesterday evening (Sunday, April 21st) we were called to reports of a body on the beach at Bolton-le-Sands.
His body has now been formally identified as being Edward. Our thoughts are very much with his family at this sad and distressing time.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared in due course for HM Coroner.
