17-Year-Old Boy Arrested On Suspicion Of Robbery In Skelmersdale

Police make arrest after a knife-Point Robbery took place in Skelmersdale last week, leaving one person with injuries.

Lancashire Police said, “We’re aware there has been some talk online about a troubling incident that happened in Skem last Thursday.

We were called around 5pm on 4th April to a report of a knifepoint robbery on Elmridge. The 19-year-old victim sustained injuries and was taken to hospital, where he was treated and it’s believed that thankfully he will make a full recovery.

We know there were concerns about our response, but we want to reassure the public that as soon as we were called, we attended and there has been a lot of work happening behind the scenes since. We are conducting CCTV enquires, and speaking to the public and have been gathering evidence to find those responsible.

As a result of this work, we arrested a 17 year-old boy on suspicion of Robbery.

We’d like to ask anyone with information, who has not already spoken to us, to come forward. We’re particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have CCTV, video doorbell footage or dashcam of the area from the day in question.

You can contact us on 101 quoting log reference LC-20240404-0992 or fill in an online report here: https://orlo.uk/IVg3b

We’d like to ask that if you do have footage that could help, you refrain from posting it online. We know people mean well but sharing anything that we later want to use as evidence in court can actually impair the investigation.
