Police investigating a stabbing in Blackburn over the weekend have made an arrest.
Lancashire Police said, “Yesterday we asked for your help identifying two men we wanted to speak to after a man in his 50s was stabbed in Shadsworth Road, Blackburn.
Just to update you, we have now identified both men.
A 19-year-old man was arrested in Liverpool yesterday and has since been detained under the Mental Health Act.
The other man is assisting us with our enquiries.
We are continuing to investigate this offence and gather evidence. We will seek to progress with a prosecution at the earliest opportunity.
